Stison enjoyed another beautiful day in Motor City – the final one of the AU Presses’ yearly meeting started with an informative breakfast, followed by another packed schedule of innovative talks and seminars. The enthusiasm present was just as powerful and positive as the day before. This incredible community here continues to enrich each other through discourse and dialogue. The energy from yesterday is only growing.
During break times today, we enjoyed another series of conversations with university presses, making new friends and seeing old ones. We were honoured that people kept coming to our stand to discuss our organisation and the work we do.
It was a pleasure to meet so many new presses, but also to see familiar faces from our current Publisher clients like UBC Press, Combined Academic Publishers, UWIP and others who we have crossed paths with at bookfairs in London and Frankfurt.
It continues to be pivotal to our growing business that we engage and apply the feedback about our systems from those using them, allowing us to develop our software in ways that make the most sense to publishers. Our business provides client publishers with work-flow solutions that make the tricky business of streamlining data and organising scheduling easier, so that they can continue to focus on the important work of developing thought-provoking and challenging intellectual content.
Thank you to the Association of University Presses for a wonderful meeting. for making us feel welcome as new comers to this conference and we look forward to seeing you next year.
